question about confirming admission to DAAP

i was accepted to DAAP recently. do i have until may 1st to confirm my spot? they acted like i needed to reserve my spot asap:

Completing the Admissions Confirmation Form is an important step toward reserving your spot and becoming a University of Cincinnati student. To confirm using our online confirmation form, click here. When confirming, you will be required to pay a non-refundable matriculation fee by credit card.

You need to hold on and make your decision carefully. Don’t push yourself into it too quickly since this is a very important decision.
my D got to make the final call last year also, hold on to know all the options and …

Congrats on admission. DAAP is a very fine school and is hard to get into. You can wait, as the other poster noted. However, don’t wait too long. I am sure there is a deadline when you must accept by.

My daughter got admitted to DAAP. She had BFA as her choice and that is what she got admitted to. After the application was submitted she decided she wanted to be considered for the interior design program. I emailed admissions about this and never heard from them. I called and they said it would be added eventually. I went ahead and confirmed because
I want her to choose housing as soon as she can. Now I am worried that I jumped the gun and she won’t be considered for the ID program. Anyone have ant input about this?

jozani–I do not know about this situation in specific, but I do know Interiors is super competitive to get into, so I would call back. If admissions doesn’t seem helpful, call DAAP office or the school of arch/interiors directly & explain the situation, to be sure they are/will be reviewing your daughter’s application.

and james–I’d do the same thing. Call admissions and see when you must accept by to confirm your spot. It should be May 1, but because it is so competitive, I would not assume that is the case.
