question about cornell essay

for the intellectual interests essay, would you suggest not speaking about science, and rather focus in on business if you are applying to the Applied Economics and Management school? or would you suggest talking about both?

talk about both, itll give them an idea of how rounded a student you are

the biggest thing on my app is that i did cancer research, and in this essay i wrote about how i love enlgish and shakespeare and languages, but also biology and such

so, tell em everything

hmm the only problem I see is that when I write the other essay (using the school to further my interests) how will I be able to talk about AEM furthering my science interests?

that might be a problem...unless you look at the CALS distribution requirement, see what the science requirement is, and talk about how the cals program is perfect for you because it lets you study what you want to do but also lets you further your intellectual interests simultaneously. You could even go so far as looking at courses and saying one or two which are particluarly intersting to you.
