Question about CSS Profile

Okay, so I'm totally losing it right now.

I'm attempting to transfer to Brown. All the financial aid materials are due March 1, including the Profile. Soooo I'm working on that and will have it submitted next week. But come today, I discover that I was supposed to send a registration form to CSS sometime before Feb 1. Now, I did register, online, after that date, and it took about 2 seconds...have I still lost "top priority" status? I'm confused, and assumed such early registration was for people doing it by paper...I dunno, I just don't want to miss out on aid because of an "oversight" on my part, especially if all my forms will be early. Can anyone clarify the registration deal with me? I didn't know that Brown would even have much to do with that, just CSS..ah well...any insight would be nice. Thanks.

Any time you miss a deadline or are late in the process, you run a risk in losing out on some stuff. But noone can tell you how much in any given process as it is determined by who is in front of you in line and how much money is budgeted. There is not anything you can do about it anyways.

Actually, I think I'm all set...

THIS page (<a href="http://financialaid.brown.edu/Cmx_Content.aspx?cpId=129%5B/url%5D">http://financialaid.brown.edu/Cmx_Content.aspx?cpId=129</a>) makes no mention of a Feb 1st deadline for anything.

The app itself says "CSS PROFILE Registration Form: request this from the Office of Financial aid and submit to CSS) before February 1" followed by "CSS will then send you a customized PROFILE Form(or you can choose to complete it online)" and the deadline for that is marked March 1.

...perhaps the note on registering is simply a recommendation for those doing the CSS offline. Feb 1 is the freshman deadline, if I recall. In any case, the deadline for CSS is definitely March 1. O.o I wish I wasn't such a spaz.

And yet CSS still lists "Feb 1" as the priority deadline for "NEW & TRANSFER STUDENTS." Weird. I'll have to call Finaid. I can't be held responsible for this if it's not mentioned anywhere explicitly!
