Question about current work load & chances...

Ok, so at the beginning of this semester I was looking at taking 17 units.
I am also taking Interm. Algebra [I have an A as of now, but it takes a lot of work to just keep up with everything]

Dilemma: Intermediate Algebra is a non-transferable course to most private school and the UC's, so I would only have 9 TRANSFERABLE units though I would be taking 14 since I may be dropping the 5th class. [plus, I wouldn't get a W because it's an 8-week course that starts next week]

These are the unit values of my classes...
Psych-3 units
ChicS8-3 units
Hum-3 units
Int Algebra-5 units {but doesn't transfer so they dont count}

WOULD MY CHANCES BE BAD OF BEING ADMITTED TO A UC OR PRIVATE? or should I just stick the 5 classes out at risk of lowering my grades overall?

my current gpa is 3.92 by the way

You should at least achieve calc before you transfer...

As long as you complete the prerequisite for your specific major, you should be fine for the UCs.

MannyS:
My major doesn't require calculus, but it does require microeconomics, macroeconomis and stats, which are pretty much done.

CherryBlossoM:Thanks, I'll have just 1 left before I transfer bc my school doesn't offer it.
