Question about Dartmouth FinAid

Hi,

I'm currently considering an offer from Dartmouth - but my main consideration is regarding the FinAid offered. I'm planning to defer my admission for a year but I'm worried about my family's financial situation in the following year. Supposing it changes drastically, will Dartmouth update the financial aid package? Or will they still take reference from the one they offered me this year? (almost no aid)

any advice/answers are greatly appreciated.

thank you very much!

Our financial aid has been updated every year, and has gone up and down depending on circumstances. Not drastically, and I have felt that each new decision was a reasonable one. Based on our experience, I would expect that they would reevaluate.

yes, they definitely will re-evaluate based on next year’s income. Of course, if you are working for a year and make some decent money, that will be a negative to need-based aid.

Ah i see, thanks so much for the info  appreciate it!
