Hi, I'm applying EA to Georgetown, and I'm getting all my stuff in by the Nov. 1st deadline, but I've only taken one SAT II so far and as you know, GU requires three.

I'm taking two more SAT II's next Saturday, the 7th, which is a week after the deadline. I probably won't get them back until the end of November, so I'd send all 3 of them then.

I was wondering if they won't read my application until they receive all 3 of my SAT II's, or if I will be penalized for not getting the SATIIs in by the Nov. 1 deadline.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!

If you’re applying EA, they don’t require 3 SAT II’s. That’s only for RD or if you get deferred.

How many do I need to have in by Nov 1st then?

The Georgetown Early Action review looks at qualifications and achievements through the end of Junior year only and makes a decision based on those three completed years. So they do not require SAT subject tests for EA applications. If you end up submitting your scores from fall 2009 subject tests, it is my understanding they likely will not be looked at because the committee wants to make a decision based solely on your performance through the end of the junior year.

Alright- thanks so much! So I shouldn’t send my SAT II scores from the upcoming Nov 7th test in unless I get deferred to RD?

That’s my plan! I didn’t do so hot on the Oct tests so I’m only going to send them in if I get deferred (Fingers crossed!)
