Question about deffered application

I was deferred early decision from CALS

I was wondering if sending a letter to the admissions office updating them on my recent activities as well as reaffirming my interest in Cornell would be helpful, and whether sending in an additional teacher recomendation that is relevant to my chosen major would improve my application.(My AP Environmental Science teacher... I applied to Natural Resource Management).

Thanks

Yes do it. I dont know about the rec. though. It MUST say something different about you. Usualyl teachers just extol you saying how great you are and talk about your accomplishments. Make sure its different.

And send more than 1 update. Send 1 now. Send 1 at the end of january (MIT allows it for deferred. Dont know about cornell). It helps. Do it.

So send one now telling them what I have done since November 1st and one at the end of January telling them about the month of January

yeah it cant hurt. i would limit it to one packet though.

You might want to wait until end of Jan after the admissions people have sorted through the RD applications.
