question about dropping a class?

So i've just started second semester and found that there is this one class that i really dont like. Its not an AP or advanced level class, but a one semester science elective course that's basically b.s. so I'm thinking of dropping it to aid or something. Now, I've already reported via common app to my colleges what classes i'm taking this semester, so does that mean i have to go and contact all of my colleges and tell them that i'm dropping this class and why? or should I not worry about it?

Don’t bother letting them know.

Colleges love surprises!

i dont think it matters that much if its not a serious class in the first place…

whoa! My D dropped an elective, and our GC told her she had to fill out and sign a form to send to her colleges.

Above poster is correct. Nobody’s going to care most likely if you drop a random elective, but you absolutely have to inform all the colleges you applied to.
