OP–It’s hard for me to believe you are a senior in college. Based on some of your posts regarding earning money, it sounds as though you’ve never held a job. If you have a salary of $500/week, you are not going to save $2,000/month. I hope you realize quite a bit of money gets deducted from each paycheck (Fed. Tax, State Tax, FICA, union dues, etc.).

With a less than stellar GPA, no job experience, no internship experience, no networking or connections, and no official transcript noting the completion of your degree, you are going to have a heck of a time gaining employment in a professional type field. I’m not trying to be a “Debbie Downer”, but it’s best that you know the reality of the employment situation today.

Based on previous posts, money in your family is an issue. The fact that any parent would want you to hand over your loans to them so they can use it to pay off their own debts is disturbing to me. You may have to work 2 low paying jobs to be able to sustain your living expenses while attempting to pay off your loans. It is not going to be easy. In the immediate future, you have to be willing to suck it up and work your butt off at any job offered to you just to get some money coming in. In time, you can be more picky about the jobs.
