I want to major in Mechanical Engineering and was wondering If I was rejected from the college of engineering but accepted to DUS does that mean I will be in school longer? Also does it mean that all my gen ed classes will be done during DUS years and then I`ll have to cram in classes for my major for the last two years? Do those who get an accepted into a specific college get a head start on the classes for their major?
Didn’t we answer this already?

Short Answer: No. DUS means nothing to your academic experience. Follow your recommended academic plan: http://www.engr.psu.edu/academicplans/UniversityPark/ME.aspx
Oh yeah, I thought I didnt, is there a way to remove a post?
We did answer this, but it bears repeating:
Whether you are in the college of engineering or DUS, you can declare a major in engineering at the end of 4 semesters provided you have met the criteria for entry to major. Students in DUS and stuents in the College of engineering have the same opportunity to register for the necessary classes within the designated timeframe.
