<p>I have a small question about E.C's</p>
<p>I participate in club swimming with goes throughout the school year and through most of the summer. Do I include the summer "weeks spent" in both the Summer Activites and under the main E.C "listing"?</p>

<p>I would say yes. Perhaps you could say: "club swimming, 12 (or whatever #)hours a week in summer, a continuation of school year EC." As long as you word it so it's clear you are not exaggerating the hours number, they will appreciate your forthrightness.</p>
<p>My kid listed his club swimming, and also his high school swimming. For the club swimming definitely count the summer weeks. Asmissions people know swimming is very time intensive and requires loads of hours per week. I wondered if my son's hours might look like an exaggeration... they weren't! But with doubles, not to mention weekends spent at meets the hours really rack up.</p>
<p>yeah I usually average 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week. I'm also worried that it might look over exaggerated</p>
<p>Actually, another reason it's important to report those long hours is because for lots of kids it means there just isn't time for a lot of other significant ECs. I know my son's only meaningful EC was swimming. I mean where is there time for anything more outside of academics?</p>
