Question about Early Action(s)

Hey guys,

My dream school is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I already gave my teachers all the proper forms and materials for the application process.

However, a few friends and family recommended that I also apply Early Action to Caltech as well. My concern is that since MIT uses MyMIT, and Caltech uses the CommonApp, would that be too much work for my teachers? MIT is my first priority, and I just don't want my MIT material to be of lesser quality due to the extra work spent on completing Caltech's CommonApp forms.

What are your thoughts?

Many students apply to a school or two that don’t use the CA, teachers simply copy and paste their LOR into another format and possibly check a few boxes. It’s not an issue.

Your teachers will probably be thrilled to send LOR to most selective schools regardless of how much work is involved. Also, since they are both early applications, the teachers are in much better shape to complete the LOR now instead of December when they are likely to be innundated with requests.

Okay. Thanks guys.
I talked to my teachers today and they were pretty happy to help me out. Haha.
