Hey guys...

Over the course of the last three years (I'm about to be a senior) I've gotten somewhere around 600 hours of community service, and my goal is to get at least 700 by the time college apps roll around. However, community service hours are listed on my school's transcript, and there it says I only have 160 hours. The reason for this is because during the summer after my freshman year, the Community Service Coordinator of my school greatly narrowed the number of activities that could count as "real" community service, so these 160 hours were all from my activities (slightly) before and during freshman year, because if one's community service actions did not fit her bill for "worthwhile actions," it was VERY difficult to get those hours put on one's transcript. Do you think colleges will believe my caveat? Also, is there somewhere in the EC section of the application that I can write this?
