Question about Econ major (theory/ thesis track)

Hi, I am a college freshman. I am thinking econ major..but there are two tracks for economics in my school. One is policy track (for a Bachelor of Arts degree) and another is theory track (for a Bachelor of Science degree). I know some other schools call it "the thesis track." I am inclined to choose the theory track at this point, so I hope someone who are on this econ track can give me an idea how hard it is. I am pretty good at math but I am not sure the theory track for economics is really right for me, plus my school says once we reach the intermediate level courses, it is almost impossible to switch between these two tracks.

Thanks for any tips and ideas!!!

I would see what you like in the micro & macroeconomics courses. I also took a Money and Banking course in econ for BA (Accounting). Take the common courses for both tracks first, talk to students following each track & professors to see which is the best fit. Also looking at masters programs is not a bad idea and career forums.
