Question about Econ vs Finance

I have been reading countless responses to these types of questions but still can not come to a conclusion for my problem.

I will be attending college in the fall and have been admitted to several arts and science schools for an economics major. I have a great passion for both economics and finance and would like to go into the banking field after college then pursue a MBA. However, the schools that have accepted me also have a management school primarily for business undergrad.

My question is, with the same GPA after 4 years, would it be easier to find a job in my desired field with an economics major and a minor in finance from the arts and science college or a degree in finance with a minor in econ. from the management school.

i.e. BS in econ from NYU or a degree from stern, or BS in econ from Boston U. or a degree from their management school.

Thanks in advance for your time. [:

Go with the program that is ranked highest. I wanted to study Econ but went with the Business undergrad because it was definately more recognized…

Degree from stern in NYU. NYU is better then Boston U.

econ major gives the most versatility

Can’t speak about BU but if you end up in cas at NYU, you can only major in economics. If you get into Stern, you have the option of finance or economics.

If you have the same grade from Stern v CAS and you want to do banking, the Stern grad will most likely to get the job.
