<p>I am planning on applying to UIUC as a transfer student from an Illinois base CC. I had a question about ECs on the application process. I understand that I have to submit a high school transcript, college transcript, and two personal essays, but are ECs a requirement on an application? If so, where exactly would I list all my ECs? Would I have to incorporate them into my essays?</p>
<p>EC’s can potentially make or break an application, although this chance isn’t quite too high at Illinois. They are probably not extremely useful since UIUC says they are “important”, not “very important”. I think UIUC cares a lot more about your GPA and course than anything else. If you have compelling EC’s, they probably have a space where you can list some of them or you might be able to submit a more comprehensive resume.</p>
