Question about ED application

So for ED applicants, the JHU website reads "October: Latest date to take standardized tests." The application is due November 1st. Does this mean that I can't take/retake SATS in the month of November? I thought I could have my scores rushed in when they arrive. Thanks for your time!

well there is an SAT test in October so you could just take it then...

yeah, i know. but i'm planning to retake SAT I in October and it'd be better if I retook a SAT II subject test in November.

From the website:
[quote]
A Note on Standardized Test Dates
Johns Hopkins strongly recommends that Early Decision (ED) candidates complete their required standardized tests no later than October of their senior year. Regular Decision (RD) candidates should complete the required tests no later than December of their senior year.

*Although we cannot guarantee that November (ED) or January (RD) scores will arrive before the Admissions Committee evaluation, past experience suggests that scores taken on these dates usually arrive in time. *

November (ED) or January (RD) scores will be accepted for those students unable to meet their test requirements by October (ED) or December (RD). In such cases, we encourage you to note your intention of taking the later standardized test(s) on your application. There is no need to rush your scores.

thanks tanman!

Thanks tanman for the quick response.

A91:
In the future, you should do the following when you have a question about the Admissions process at Hopkins:

(1) Review the "Apply" section of the Admissions Web Site:
Hopkins Undergraduate Admissions :: Apply :: Applying to Hopkins

(2) Search the "Ask Admissions" section of the Hopkins Forums:
Hopkins Forums -> Ask Admissions

(3) Use the College Confidential Search function with special keywords.

Many of the basic and most of the more complex admissions questions have already been answered in all three places.

awesome. Thanks for the links! Late, late response, haven't been on in a while!
