<p>Early Decision is a binding contract to attend the school you are applying to, if you get accepted. Therefore, it's only to one college. </p>
<p>Schools (not sure if it's all of them or those prominently up on the lists) circulate a list of ED applicants, to make sure there isn't any "cheating" happening.</p>
<p>EA, (not SCEA - Single Choice Early Action), is where you can apply to multiple schools EA. Georgetown has a policy that you cannot apply EA there if you are applying ED elsewhere.</p>
