question about ED

<p>as far as i can tell, it seems like there are 2 ways to use ED to your advantage:</p>

<li>apply to a place which would be considered a reach (in order to boost your chances slightly)</li>
</ol>

<p>or</p>

<li>apply to a place you would consider a target (in order to, in effect, secure a spot for yourself early on)</li>
</ol>

<p>which do you think is a better choice? if you have any other ways to see the ED process, talk about them too</p>

<p>I would not do 2 as I would want to compare financial aid offers.</p>

<p>Unless money is not an object...</p>

<p>Apply to the school you MOST want to attend. Be sure you're sure about it. Doesn't matter if it's a reach, match or safety--just that it's your absolute, unqualified first choice, and money isn't an issue.</p>
