I have a question about engineering dorm and placement test.

What is the dorm for engineers, especially Chemical Engineering?

And I am aware of that we need to take Chemistry and math for placement testing. How hard it the chemistry testing? I haven't took chemistry for a while.

Chemistry placement test covers things from a one year high school course; not very hard but not overly easy either. If you haven’t looked at the subject for a long time you should do some serious prep for recall.

There is no special dorm for engineering. ISR has a somewhat higher percentage of engineering students but chances of getting it now if you have not yet applied for housing are slim to none. Hendrick House is private certified housing that some engineering students like because it is very close to engineering quad. But it also may be full already – both ISR and Hendricks attract a lot of upperclassmen who applied for the housing before freshman can even do so and housing is awarded in order of applications received. As to dorms, you are almost looking now, if you are just applying for housing, at possibly getting Flroida Avenue Residences or Pennsylvania Avenue Residence and have a risk that you may only be able to get temporary housing.

I just went to Hendricks about 3 days ago to turn in my deposit. It isn’t full yet, and the major of the students there are freshman/sophomores.

Your chances for ISR are next to null. I’d have to suggest sucking it up and living in whatever’s left rather than Hendrick though, makes the social life a lot easier

ISR is the best, but 6 pack isnt terrible, the bus comes like every 7 minutes and gets to the engineering quad in about 5~10 depending on lights and how full the bus is. FAR and PAR are not good choices
