I didn't receive this letter and I applied for the majors Electrical and Computers. Does this mean I didn't get accepted? =(

Not getting a letter doesn't mean you are rejected. You still have a chance.

Are you super duper crazy sure?
XD;;

......Yes.

Haha. Alright ^__^;; cool then.

But could anyone elaborate on why some students who applied for engineering got in and some didn't? Let's say we know student Z will get into UCLA, and is majoring in EE (and didnt' receive a letter). What separates this person from others who got the letter?

besides not having the letter -____-

yeah i would like to know why as well. I know some friends who really should have gotten this letter by now. Most of them applying for Computer Science and some for Double E. i heard UCLA doesnt go by the numbers as much anymore but more on the overall quality of the person. Is this true? So if you dont get a letter by a certain day do you still have a chance to get in with a different major? need some specifics please thanks

i got in with bad numbers, but my qualities as a person helped me, i think the department wants to select a few because they want to develop a realtionship with their students,

hmm, I guess it could be just to know some of the students. Or more over, trying to get the "crazy good" students to attend that school. But, the letters are invitations to a open house right? Could or more so, would they send a letter to every single accepty (it's a word now) into engineering? I still have not gotten a letter so I'm super sad...

from what i heard they're basically guaranteed acceptances, but could someone clarify? and also do you know if more letters are being sent out. I got mine, but some of my friends who deserve to go haven't gotten theirs.

mmmm, does anyone know of an applicant from last year who got into engineering that didn't receieve the letter? I have a friend from last year who didn't get the letter and didn't get in (luckily she still got into UCB for that same major).

the letter is a 99.999 chance that u will get in, i called them up
