Hello!
I'm from Brazil, and I wanto to study at na University in Canada. But I don't have the minimun TOEFL score for admission, so I need to improve my english in a ESL program. I'd like to know if after I conclusion of the ESL, and I have have the required proficiency for admission, I could apply for an University there? What are the procedures? Do I need another Visa? Could you give some advices?

As far as I know, most of these programs are either separate English courses (no guarantee) or conditional offers (more likely to get in). I know there’s a new program at UBC that made the news last year, called Vantage College. I’m not entirely sure of how it works, but apparently, you can study English at the same time as you do university classes, so you still graduate in 4 years… that’s probably worth checking out. (When I was at UBC they didn’t have this - they only had the conditional offer program.)
