Question about essays?

I am planning to apply as a pre-admit to Ross and have a couple questions about the essays.

I have to write one essay about my academic interests for the LSA and then another describing my interest in Ross.

Well, aren't they kinda the same? I mean I'm planning to apply to LSA only so I can get into Ross. For the LSA essay, should I write that I intend to apply to Ross and that is where my interests lie, or should I talk more about what interests me in the LSA instead. And then, if I wrte about Ross in my LSA essay, then won't be repeating alot of the sutff for my pre-admit essay.

Do what you want. The essay is about you.

I would think your LSA essay should be more general, talking about all of your interests, including business (but not in great detail). Your Ross essay should explain how you first started liking business, what business-related activities/jobs you've had, what you plan to do after Ross, etc.
