On the optional essay, I have an idea about one of the prompts, but I don't think it really "reveals" much about me. It involves doing a proof, and might come off as tiny bit arrogant. Also, it would probably be under 250 words. The only thing I can think of it showing about me is that I am the kind of thinker who tries to use logic to prove things in a variety of different areas. Should I go for it and take the chance or go with a traditional essay "about me"?
Thanks

If who you are is someone who would answer an essay question about yourself by submitting a proof, then go for it. It would certainly convey “who you are” and that’s what the essays are (hopefully) designed to do.

I tried to write the proof… and failed miserably. So I’m doing a different topic. :D
