Question About Extracurriculars on Resume

Hey guys! I had a question about extracurriculars for my expanded resume.

Would the science fair that I participated in (and got 1st place) at my high school be an EC? I logged over 100+ hours working on it in a professional setting in a laboratory, and I wasn’t sure if I should put that in my EC’s. I put in the awards that I got 1st place, but never really got to show the admissions officers how much time I spent on the project/research.

If you list it in activities, the fact that you got first place belongs there. Don’t double list things.

@guineagirl96 so I wouldn’t put it in the fact that I got 1st place on my project in Awards/Honors? only as a bullet point in my description for the science fair in the EC section? :o
