Question about Facebook

I noted while looking through several pages in a Google search that I could not find a dedicated site for Facebook-related questions. I am posting this in the hopes of getting out of hot water with my girlfriend. We recently became "facebook official" as the saying goes. However, I am experiencing a strange situation. For some reason when she visits my profile, it says I am in a relationship, but it doesnt have a name. Conversely, when I visit her profile, it does have my name as being in a relationship with her. I created an additional Facebook profile to check to see if it was a problem with her account. When i used the new account to visit my page, it shows everything just as it should be, with the "in a relationship with xyzabc." Can anyone think of a reason why anyone who is my friend cannot see who i am in a relationship with, but random people with no affiliation can see it just fine? I dont know if I did something in my privacy settings or what. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

It doesnt say her name when she visits your page because its her...facebook is weird...just like when you write on somebodies wall it doesnt say your college in parentheses...but someone else can see what college you go to

has she confirmed the fact that you're in a relationship?

That was what I thought in initially, but I had a mutual friend of ours cehck my page, and he experienced the same thing. I found this odd since a non-friend was able to see it just fine

so your mutual friend saw it or didnt?

Our mutual friend was unable to see that we were in a relationship. It left her name out of the description

why don't you email facebook?

your wall doesn't put the college name of the people that go to your own school. also, if you post on a friends wall that doesn't go to your school, facebook assumes you yourself know what schools YOU go to. i think that's more commonsensical than weird.
