Question about FAFSA during college

If I recall correctly, the aid offered could change every year. But assuming that the family income level stays the same, or in other words, the EFC stays the same, could I expect to receive the same amount of financial aid from the school?

Errr... I'm attending Carnegie Mellon this fall, btw.

You need to look carefully at CMU's web site, and/or call the FA office, to be certain. But, generally, for most schools, yes, you should expect to receive the same amount of aid each year, provided family matters stay relatively the same. You titled your thread FAFSA during college, which shows that you know you need to apply for the aid each year, renewing through FAFSA.

The OP needs to check CMU's finaid renewal policies. I don't recall whether CMU uses the Profile or not. Some schools also require that for finaid renewal (in addition to the FAFSA). And check the deadlines. Also check the provisions of your initial award. If you have any scholarship money in there, there could be a gpa requirement as well.
