I noticed that the Common App asks how many test dates you want to report, and then asks for your highest scores and the date of each score. My D had her highest scores all on one test date, but we ended up sending both test dates anyway (because at the time she wasn’t sure she was going to retake the test). So, does she write “2” in the “number of test dates” or “1” since she is reporting highest scores from only one test date? It’s a bit confusing! Do you write in however many test dates you have sent to them?
Thanks!
It is completely up to you.
If her highest subsection scores for each subsection were from a single test date, I’d just report one test date, UNLESS that is a test date where she didn’t do the writing (essay) section and she has another ACT date where she did take the writing.
A few colleges require that all test scores be disclosed, but it is not required that they be disclosed via the Common App. If that is applicable, you can just make sure to send the all the test scores to that particular college.
Thanks - I think the issue is that we have already disclosed the other scores and just don’t know how to answer the question in the Common App - am I making sense? All of the highest test scores are from one date, including writing. Thanks!
