Hey guys! I just got accepted today by UoR (really excited -> especially loved the personalized letter...), but I didn't receive anything about financial aid with my admit letter. I saw online that UoR e-mails us the Student ID and PIN to check our award, but is this award only for need-based financial aid or for merit as well? Basically, if there was no letter with the admit offer, does this mean that I did not receive any merit financial aid?
Thanks and go UoR! :)

No they will send it latter. If you see other people saying they got it along with their acceptance letter that is because they applied early and U of R want them to have everything in hand in case they choose to attend another school.

But since you just got the letter this late in the season, that did not include it. They should send it to you within 3-5 days. If not, call them and ask for it and say you have other offers and really want to make a informed decision. You will it it airmailed the nest day. Trust me

As I began reading your post, I remembered that the letter would come later. Also, thanks a lot for the tip! :-)

sharks–if you were awarded any merit aid, that notification would have been included in your acceptance package.

The notification for need based aid will arrive by email in 7-10 days.

Oh alright - thanks for the clarification…
