Question about Georgetown

Can you easily take classes in the different schools at Georgetown? I'd be in the college, but I'd like to take classes in Human Science (School of Nursing) and in business (McDonough). Also, can I minor in those schools if I want to. I'd like to minor in Business I think.

Also, what are the General Education requirements like?

bump, no one knows?

I don't know the answer to the first question. I have a friend who is in the college and took a course in the SFS, so I think it might be possible.

The general education requirements comprise categories, each of which is satisfied by two courses. I've finished my GenEds, so I don't remember what they are exactly, but I think there are philosophy, theology, math/science, social sciences, history, humanities/english, and foreign language requirements. The lattermost category requires the student to have completed two years of non-intensive study in a foreign language, or one year of intensive study.

What does that mean- "intensive" verses "non intensive"?

Intensive Foreign language courses typically cover two semesters of regular language study in one semester, while non-intensive foreign language courses proceed normally.
