Question about getting an "F"

Alright... here's my predicament.

Due to the fact that it couldn't fit into my schedule, I had to take half a credit course of PE to graduate.

So what did I do? I signed up for online PE, which my school takes.

HOWEVER, I had absolutely no time to do this (as some of you fellow over-achievers can imagine). I mean, balancing 4 AP classes, honors Latin 3, college-level television productions, several leadership positions, tons and tons of clubs, PLUS acting as a business manager for my non-English parents... I'm hoping you guys get the picture that there was absolutely no way I had the time to sit and write essays about the importance of cardiovascular activities and make huge posters (with pictures!!! with pictures!) for the food pyramid.

So, I got a little--okay, severely--behind and was dropped from the course.

Which means... a dirty rotten "F" on my transcript.

I'm taking the class over the summer (when I have time) again, because our school practices grade forgiveness.

I know that the grade I'll get in the online course will replace the "F" in my GPA, but I don't know if that little letter will be erased from my transcript as well.

So... if worst comes to worst and it DOES show up, what do I do? Do I have a chance at all, or is more of a crapshoot than it ever was?

i
ve never heard of this, but maybe it
s just me.

if i were you, i would talk to the school counselor and let her know that you have replaced the "F" with the grade that you earned over the summer. show him/her the online transcript (the replaced grade) so they know that you aren`t lying. just try to get that "F" erased.

ONLINE PE? What were the requirements for that? OK folks, move your mouse, move your mouse, move your mouse! Type faster! Surf the web! Sorry, but couldn't resist. :)

Luckily, most colleges don't even care about PE when they look at your GPA. In fact, many will drop it out of your GPA altogether. Just to be sure it's not on the transcript, however, I'd ask your school for a copy of your transcript early in the fall and make any necessary corrections.
