Question about GPA and number grade average

So in 9th grade I got a cumulative 90.3 average with a 3.7 GPA UW.
In 10th grade my cumulative GPA (both 9th and 10th) was a 89.63 which came out to be a 3.6 UW which was weird, it should be just a 3.68 UW or 3.69 UW.
But I asked my counselor who is new to my school this year and she said that a 89.6 is very close to a 90 which is probably(she's not sure) a 3.69. However, I'm in 11th grade right now and she showed me my transcript and on there it was a 3.6, so I am confused....If a 90.3 is a 3.7...89.6 would logically be 3.69. They can't just cut off a whole .1 like that...
Anyway I got a 3.9 GPA UW 1st term, there's 4 terms. I'll probably get a 3.8 in my 11th grade hopefully.

Can anyone explain to me what they think my cumulative GPA is not counting 11th grade? I REALLY hope it's not 3.6......it should be 3.69 or something because I didn't get a 3.5 in 10th grade....

Hello??? o.o

Aw maaan lol.

You shouldn’t be asking us… you should tell your guidance counselor. Sometimes they are overworked and a little glitch can mean a problem down the road.

I did talk to her but she’s new and she said she’s not sure…the number grade is more logical…but the counselor doesn’t understand the GPA because she just got here…

I’ve asked a couple of my friends and their cumulative grades are always 3.x, no hundredth digits.

On my Online grades system, my 10th grade all 4 terms grades were all 3.7 except for 1 term I got a 3.4, so that averages out to be a 3.625.
The average of 3.7 and 3.625 is like 3.6625, so I guess they can’t put a 3.7 so they put a 3.6 but it doesn’t show the hundredth digit?
