Say a student attends a community college and transfers out to a 4-year college to complete undergrad requirements as well as pre-med requirements. Do medical schools average out the community college career as well as the 4 year college career?

All college grades count. They’ll all get included.

And if you retake any classes at the 4-year college which you originally took at the CC, then both grades are included in your GPA calculation.

For all intents and purposes, assume that every single grade you’ve ever earned in association with any college (dual enrollment in high school, summer programs at other schools, online classes from community colleges, courses at community colleges, etc) will be counted toward your AMCAS and thus medical school GPA.
