Question about GPA. help!

If i am trying to transfer at the end of 2008 spring semester and apply for other colleges 2008 fall semester, do 2008 spring semester coureses(probably will be taking the courses while sending out the applications in current college) count towards my GPA?
and do the colleges look at the GPA that includes 2008 spring semester grades??

I'm currently attending Syracuse University and trying to transfer to Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and NYU.

depends on the school, but for those schools i am guessing they will ask for a final decision if you are borderline, on the other hand if you are borderline they probably won't take you...they will take the students with high gpa's who have completed a lot of required courses

In general (I'm not aware of any exceptions, but there could be some), your spring courses will not count toward the GPA used in your admission decision. For the school where you eventually choose to matriculate, you will have to submit your final transcript showing the spring grades and they will require that your spring work show that you have continued in a satisfactory manner and in line with how you were doing when they made the admission decision.

A couple of schools will ask for "mid-term reports" of your spring courses - a form where you list spring courses and grades at approximate mid-term. Some of these require prof initials next to the grade you report. Some are purely self-report. But it is a minority of schools which require this.
