question about gpa on application

Ok so here's my deal. I started pretty bad grade-wise at my local CC, but have since done very well the past couple semesters (4.0 over the past year) and am now at a 2.75. Applications open in a few months and that is the gpa i will be applying with. If I keep my momentum I will have around a 3.1 by the end of spring 14.

My question to you guys is this: will their admissions decisions be based purely on that 2.75? If I need to have a 3.0 to transfer to a particular school does that 3.0 need to be achieved by the time I apply or do they take into account some kind of projected gpa by the time I finish my fall and spring classes and enter their school?

I hope I explained myself clearly... Thanks guys!

You final GPA when you ‘graduated’ at your local CC.

Depends on the school you are applying to and how competitive it is. You might be okay if the school auto admits people with a 3.0 or better, but, if the school is competitive, they probably are going to make their decision on the grades they see on your transcript.
