Question about GPA...PLEASE help

I'm a sophomore, I have a 3.43 GPA and I'm trying to bring it up to a 4.0. I was thinking about replacing it but at my school in order to replace a grade you have to be failing, that's the policy. And I'm not failing, I just have 2 B's and 1 C that I want to bring up to A's so I can have a 4.0. But would it be okay if I took a class at another school over the summer and transfered it to my school, and my school could just average that grade in with my original grade? It doesn't say anything about that in the school policy. So do you guys think I'd be allowed to do that?

You should ask your guidance counselor.

do you go to a private or public, and what state/county? ive found that different regions and the type of school have different policies.

I go to a public school, in West Virginia.... it's a sucky school... not ranked very high, even lower that a ky school

it's called Tolsia High school

it's called Tolsia High school

how about me can i bring up a B to an A....my hs is in sf, california

Not to be rude or anything, but ask your conselor, we don't go to your school, we don't know the policy. At my school we call it grade forgiveness, you can retake a class but the old grade as well as the new grade goes on your transcript but the old grade is not factored into your GPA. I just realized that half of these questions people ask can be easily answered better by your guidance counselor rather than a bunch of teens on some internet forum.
