What would you say is the minimum GPA that is just barely safe enough to be admitted?

I have a 2.945 as of the end of this fall semester.

Am I doomed?

Hmm might depend on your major. Possible UC:
UCR
UCM
UCI
UCSC

and UCD is possible.

Thanks, I feel somewhat relieved!

Sent from my SGH-I897 using CC

What’s your major?

Computer science. I would guess that this would be less impacted than most majors?

I think UC Davis requires a 3.1 minimum for their college of engineering (where CS is).

UCI requires minimum GPA of 3.0 in the required courses (I believe major classes)

I applied to CS in UCD’s college of letters and science. Not sure if the requirements are lower for this one.

While it is possible, it’s not very likely. 2.9 is pretty low especially for a UC. Did you apply to any State schools just in case?

I applied to San Jose State, the only state I applied to.

Well, I will be going to my community college and turning in an academic renewal form, which will bring me up to a 3.141. I’ll see how this goes.
