Ok so I attend a high school that uses the 8 point grade scale and on my freshman report card i received a 2.67 or 85. However according to college board most colleges convert it to
A+ (97-100) = 4.0
A (93-96) = 4.0
A- (90-92) = 3.7

man, that sucks that your HS does that to you. When colleges look at your grades, they don't just see a GPA, they see all the grades in all the classes you have taken, and they'll rate your classes on their own system.

Probably, most colleges, if they do give you fewer points for a B-, won't give you less than a 2.7. I'm pretty sure no college out there would evaluate your GPA as worse than a 2.67, and most will probably see it as a 3.0, or better if you are taking challenging classes.

Heh... I guess so. I wouldn't worry too much, colleges just want to see that you're taking decently hard classes and getting good grades (B's). If you're planning on going to a state school then your grades are fine.

it's a public school but it's got a really good reputation throughout new hampshire and new england. it's really hard i have an 85 and i'm ranked in the bottom half of my class so it kind of sucks.
