Question about GPA.

My freshman year I decided to take Algebra 3-4 and got a D in the first semester and B in the next...
My GPA was 3.14 and 3.56 for both semesters.
Would this be bad when applying for college? Because it sure looks bad on my transcript.
Should I make up the class?
:/

It’s not going to cause to be declined nor will it cause you to be accepted :)

As long as you show that you can perform well in higher level courses you will be fine. Besides lots of colleges don’t even look at freshmen year.

Also, your upward grade trend is a plus. You didn’t start off with an A then get a D. Just keep working hard :)

Never think “It’s too late to improve”. That’s a LIE!!! IT’S NEVER TOO LATE. You are very young and full of potential. Don’t think that freshman or sophomore years are ok to slack off. Every year is equally important. KEEP WORKING HARD.

Don’t make up the class. Keep moving forward. The fact that you posted this on CC shows that you have some motivation.
