question about GPAs

i couldnt find a thread that distinguishes the W and UW GPAs. When i got my transcript, there were 4 GPAs. the common one was the overall W and UW GPA. since i live in so cal, there is another GPA that says CSU, which im guessing stands for California State Universities. The fourth is the college weight GPA.

My stats at the end of my 1st semester sophomore year are:
Overall: UNWTD 3.39
Overall: WTD 3.50
CSU GPA 3.20
College WTD 3.20

Which GPA do the colleges, especially the UC's schools, look at?
How come my UNWTD GPA is lower then the WTD when a lot of people have higher UNWTD's then their WTD's? (i am taking APs and HNS)?

Im not interested in the CSU's GPA because i dont want to go to any of those universities.

Calculate your GPA through the UC eligibility calculator.
University of California - Admissions

weighted is always higher than unweighted.

like, if you got a B in an AP class, on your unweighted GPA it gets added in as a 3.0, but on the weighted one it gets added in as a 4.0.

i don't know what the final GPA is.. maybe it's just weighted AP's and not honors or something? i mean, it's different at every school, and i'm not from california. my school gives a weighted GPA and that's it.

It does get confusing in CA because UCs only weight 8 semester units and only classes that meet their criteria. Our school only weights UC-approved classes, but you still have at least 3 gpas: weighted, unweighted , and UC weighted.
