If I got a D in a class it does not go onto my transfer gpa because a D grade does not transfer??? I know you have to declare it on ur application, but does it affect your gpa?

Please Help Me Out!!

your gpa as you are applying to another undergrad insitution or graduate school?

undergraduate

from a comunity college

well i will be counted as your GPA when you apply to the undergraduate school.

But if accepted it will probably not be transferrable; this ofcourse depends on the school.

tncpauld, your D will be looked by the admission officers. And the D effects your CC gpa. When you transfer...you start with a new 'uc' GPA.. But your overall GPA for Grad school/jobs/intership includes all the grades including your D.

The good news is, you can retake the class and replace the D grade completely. The D will still be in your transcript but your GPA includes the new (re-take) grade.

thanks, but when it comes to the actual transfer gpa... does that D go into that, or do the admissions people just look at it?

for example.... because i know if you take a non transferable class like intermediate algebra, it doesnt matter if u get a C or an A because it doesnt transfer

nevermind... i get it now

i think you got it but ya...just think of it this way...what transfers is your units not your grades.
