question about Harvard interview

i know i know.. there are a ton of these... but i was wondering..

my friend recently got contacted for an interview.. she submitted her application even later than i did.. and we both go to the same school...

does this mean they find her more.. interesting? or do i just have to wait?

Nope, I don't think that reflects anything. In fact, they don't look at them in the order they get submitted, anyway.

You'll get your interview. Just hang in there.

Yeah, it doesn't mean anything. They interview everybody they can, anyway, and the time just depends on when your interviewer learns about you and has the time to contact you.

hey PorSK... in what order do they look at the apps anyway? is it alphabetical?

No clue, but I do know they don't immediately know what order they came in because the storage cabinet thingies that the paperwork goes in are in alphabetical order and they never get to see the applications until after the interns file them.

PorSK, when do the interns file them? when do they start reading applications?

I'm sure all those things are metaphors and do not stand for some physical thing.

I'm not sure, risingsakura. I know that if you send it by mail, they file that as soon as they open it. I don't know anything about the actual admissions process, though.

I am an international student. As far as I learnt from Harvards website there is an interviewer in my area. But on the CommonApp supplement it said when do you plan to schedule an interview? So are we supposed to contact?

bump bump...
