Question about Honor Societies

My junior DD (3rd year) received an email containing this text:

-Congratulations, your scholastic achievements and 3.0 or better GPA have qualified you to apply for induction into the honor societies at The University of Alabama.-

The honor societies she can apply for are Anderson Society, Lambda Sigma Society, Blue Key Society, Mortar Board Society, Cardinal Key, and Omicron Delta Kappa Society.

My question is this: Should she apply for these? If so, which ones? She was fairly active in the Honors College her first 2 years (Freshman Advisory Board, Honors College Ambassador, Honors Mentor), but has never been involved in many other campus activities. She has chosen to use her leadership skills at her church and that takes up most of her spare time. Based on her activities would she be considered for membership in any of these? Her GPA is just over a 3.5 and she is a Business Management major.

The deadline for application is the 11th, so I am trying to advise her if it is worth her time to apply.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I remembered some of M2CK’s advice about honor societies.

M2CK’s said:
"I would stick to:

Phi Beta Kappa
Phi Kappa Phi
Mortar board
the major honor society associated with one’s major".

HTH

FWIW, Mortar Board and ODK are very similar - MB started as women’s only leadership honor society and ODK as men’s only. Both now accept all genders.
