I've been admitted to the RU school of Engineering. Does this mean I am in the honors program? Are Engineering students automatically in honors, or is there a seperate process? If there is a separate process, how do I find out whether or not I am in the honors program?

Engineering Honors will send out applications in mid-late summer. If you have received the Presidential Scholarship, you are automatically in the honors program. If you have received any type of substantial scholarship, you are most likely going to be in the honors program. (But no one knows off the bat except for presidential scholars. And they still “apply”.)

Applications are only sent to those who meet the criteria of the honors program. I think it includes a short essay about why you want to be an engineer and a small form. If you want to be a part of the honors program but didn’t receive an application or something happened, you can talk to Dean Rankin about it. He’s the first-year dean as well as the head of the honors program.
