Question about Hooks

I have a question about 'Hooks' for Ivy level schools. In terms of organizations, how high of a position creates a 'Hook'? In the next few weeks I will undergo an application to be appointed to either a Regional director for several states of a group (cant disclose for confidentiality) or a director of a specific task nationally. Would these be 'hooks' or would only the national president be the hooked person? just wondering, thanks

Also, hypothetically if that hook was related to political/humanities related things, would it be even worth mentioning if im applying an engineering school? I cant wait to start on projects though If I get the position as I love the thing so much, but I just wanted to know its positioning when I apply nxt yr

If you were hooked because of an out of school organization, you would know. Colleges would make sure you knew.

Out of curiosity, why does it matter? Unless you plan on labeling your EC with "HOOK" in your application (which would look ridiculous, I promise), why do you want to have a concrete answer to a question that's entirely subjective?
