Question about Housing Contract

So I'm not 18, but I "signed" the contract. Should I just print out the pdf for my mom to sign then mail it to the school (which address??)?

Also, do I have to pay the $650 right away? With scholarships and financial aid, I have all estimated costs covered....but I can't get that money until the school actually starts (well, for the scholarships at least). Is this $650 counted in the estimated cost of school? How do I pay for it w/ scholarship/FA money?

Thanks!

You have to pay the 650 yourself. There is nothing that will cover that

Yes, the $650 is included in the estimated cost.

You have to pay it first. Later on your scholarship / FA payments should cover it.

^ Oh… the financial aid people didnt explain that too me when I asked them about FA covering my housing.

On the housing website ([UC San Diego Housing Rates and Services](http://housing.ucsd.edu/value.asp) scroll down to financial aid)

It says clearly:
"Students who have completed and filed a FAFSA will be provided with an online Preliminary Award Notification (PAN) from the Financial Aid Office. Beginning in mid-March, admitted students may view their PANs online at http://myapplication.ucsd.edu.

Students are responsible for paying the $650 Housing prepayment due with the signed Housing Contract in June since financial aid is not disbursed until after fall quarter begins. As UC San Diego administered grants and loans are disbursed quarterly, students receiving sufficient financial aid funds to pay for campus Housing are encouraged to select the quarterly payment option during the contract signing process in June. If financial aid funds do not fully cover Housing charges, students are responsible for paying the balance from their own resources."

basically you pay with your own money now and you’ll get it back through your F.A. in the fall.

Ok awesome. So do they give us a check or what?

And also, what do I do about signing the contract, when I’m not even 18?

I dunno about the contract, call to make sure if you’re worried that might jeopardize your housing ap.

You can either get a check of the money left over after all the fees are paid or you can enroll in direct deposit in which they just deposit the leftover money from that quarter into your account. Thats what they did for me each quarter… I also was not enrolled in TRIP monthly payments… so I paid them once each quarter basically. They divided the total f.a. into threes and you get a third each quarter…
