Question about housing selection.

My housing date is coming up soon. The person I was gonna room with has his date two days before me. However, I'm guessing that there are no longer any halls left with 2 spots per dorm, so I have a couple questions.

1) Does this mean we will not room together?

2) In that case, when I pick, will I just have to select a room, and whoever else is in there will be my roommate?

3) Is there any way of finding people who still need a roommate?

There are some triples left with 2 and 3 spaces still. So you two could still room together with a random person. Make sure your roommate has your ufid to reserve your space in the room. If it doesn’t work out, yes when you select your room the other people in there will be your roommates. (Absolutely no doubles left for either guys or girls.) Only way to find people who still need a roommate is the ways you have been using, like roombug or gatorspace. Hope that was helpful. :)

As of 16:37

Beaty Towers Area 0 0
Broward Area 0 4
Graham Area 0 74
Hume Residence Area 10 0
Jennings Area 0 11
Lakeside Area 0 0
Murphree Area 10 0
Springs Area 0 0
Tolbert Area 0 38
Yulee Area 0 0

Wow lol…What am I supposed to select if there’s nothing left?

^ Yeah, people who fill the contract out are guaranteed housing, I wonder how it’ll all work out.

Once they process cancellations, rooms open up across campus. Haven’t you seen the housing departments youtube videos? [YouTube - ‪UFDeptHousing’s Channel‬‏](http://www.youtube.com/user/UFDeptHousing)

According to https://www.facebook.com/UFHousing:</a>
"This is a friendly reminder to wait until after July 5 if you do not find a room that you like during Room Selection. You will be billed on July 1 if you have choosen your room by that date. You cannot change your room preference once you’ve been billed.

We will release a number of rooms starting 7/5 as we process cancellations and notify students through Facebook and Twitter. Please continue to watch www.gatorspace.housing.ufl.edu for updated room availability info."

So I would wait to select a room (so don’t select anything on your selection date) and see what opens up.

Good luck!

How likely is it for double room vacancies to be available after cancellations?
my selection date is june 29th and I have a roomate.

I have a similar question as well. So I have someone who I’d room with, but if nothing is open on my date, how likely is it that after the cancellations are applied June 5th, that there will be 2 spots open in a room? (Doesn’t matter if it is double room or late app triple).

Bump, anyone know?

How could anyone know what cancellations will do for space? You’ll just have to wait for July 5th to see if you can get 2 spaces in a room. I know right now that absolutely nothing is open.

I was thinking maybe a soph/junior/senior at UF who has seen the process before…

So it’s now my time/date and I do not see the signup link in the myHousing portal…
EDIT:Nvm.
