<p>Are roommates randomly selected? Or do they try to pair you with someone who is similar (i.e. in personality or major or whatever)</p>
<p>Roommates are paired based on a very long and detailed questionnaire. There are specific questions about sleep needs (hours, level of quiet), social life, study time, and even some fun questions to provide some insight to your personality.</p>
<p>Additionally, if you meet someone like like at one of the admitted students days or know someone going that you would like to be with, then the two of you can request to be roommates. You still get randomly put in a college, but you will be randomly placed together. The roommate assignment system is really good in my experience!</p>
