I’m a current undergraduate student looking to transfer schools. I have a question about how the Academic Evaluators get the invitation to submit a recommendation on my behalf. I’m transgender and while I have medically transitioned, legally I have not yet, so my legal name is far different than the name my teaches know me by.
I really do not want to out myself to those teachers, if it can be avoided. When they get the invitation to submit a rec, does anyone know what they see? Will it list my nickname or ask to submit a recommendation for me under my legal name? I also need to know so I can have that conversation with the teachers so they know what to look out for.
