<p>Ok, so i just wrote my EC short essay for the common application, and it's about 15 words over 150. It would be pretty bare if i cut it down any more. But this is when I use the computer to count the words. However, I remember when I use to be assigned essays with word minimums in school, articles like "a, the" ect. didn't count. Is this still true for app essays, in which case the computer is counting extra words? If not, i guess only going like 10-15 words over 150 is not that bad.</p>
